Officers have also been elected for the Future Homemakers of America Club. They are: president, Connie Huff; vice president, Carolyn Glascock; secretary,Giner Estes; treasurer, Debbie Jenkins; reporter, Geraldine Settle. The annual staff is hard at work getting ready to publish “The Rappsody." Members have been busy selling ads and they have put together a great theme - wait and see! Last week a group of students with Mrs. Magarity, the year book sponsor, attended a clinic in Charlottesville to check on inks, papers and to get new ideas for this year’s annual. Three practices have left the cheerleaders with sore muscles and aching bones. Despite two or three uncoordinated people and a few wrong directions they are preparing for the new season. We all know they will be cheering for a winning team. Rappahannock has adopted a new system of reporting grades. Instead of all of the grades being entered on one large card, we receive a card from each class. This makes it easier for the teachers and there are also advantages for the students. Our parents no longer have to sign the report card and you know what that means! The “Mighty Seniors” did it again. . .Bill Kilby has received a letter of commendation for his performance on the 1971 National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. He was one of 35,000 kids in the United States who scored in the upper two percent of those who are to graduate from high schools this year. The Juniors took the NMSQT Tuesday and we want another winner. A new pasttime is being developed at RCHS. During lunch bets are taken on how many eighth
