Do you favor incoming or expanding indusfry and developers being required to submit pollution control plans and an environmental impact statement for county authorizations? 4. Richard Latham These four candidates returned the questionnaire promptly, answered all questions adequately, offered to attend any public meeting and gave complete cooperation to the R.L.E.P. public information project. WAKEFIELD — Walter H. Williams, Jr. — Did not respond and when phoned, stated that he would not have anything to do with it. HAMPTON — Clarence E. Baldwin — By personal letter, refused to respond, srating that the people of his district would dictate how he would vote. STONEWALL/HAWTHORNE — Henry B. Wood, Jr. — By note on blank questionnaire, refused to respond, stating that the people of his district would dictate how he would vote. PIEDMONT — Betty Coates — By letter to Editor, Rappahannock News, refused to respond, stating that the people of her district wo uld dictate how she would vote. These questions may well be considered one day by the Board of Supervisors and should be of vital concern to every Ranpahan nock citizen. Inasmuch as only one candidate of the two in Wakefield, Hampton and Stone wall/Hawthorne District responded, responsible discussion was not made possible and the answers by those who did respond are omitted.
