One hundred and twenty-five deer have been killed and checked in Rappahannock County so far this year. Hunter success has dropped off since the first two weeks. However, it should pjpk up as it usually does around Christmas, New Year’s and of c :Jrse the last day. The last day will be Wednesday, January 5, and anterless deer will be legal.
The fifth bear of the season in Rappahannock was taken near Chester Gap by Ray Smelser of Bentonville.
