It is estimated that some 25,000 Americans could be helped right now, if human eye tissue were available. Worldwide, over five million persons could be given restored or improved sight through such operations. These needs cannot be filled because not enough human eye tissue is being made available through the eye donor program.
Lions Club members are asking the people of their communities to give this gift of sight as a special act of charity in this Christmas season.
