Lions Club Holds
Ladies Night Dinner
Rappahannock County Lions Club held a “Ladies Night” dinner-meeting on Wednesday, December 8, 1971 at Hampton Inn. The affair was well attended by members, their wives and special guests as well as members from other area Lions Clubs. Dr. R. B. Allen, member of Rappahannock County Lions Club, gave a most informative talk on eyesight conservation.

Res. Elects Officers
At a meeting held December 6, the election of officers for the Washington Volunteer Fire Company and Rappahannock Rescue Squad took place. The following officers will serve for 1971-72: President - Ennis Jenkins; Vice-President - Richard Eastham; Secretary - Bobby Weakley; Treasurer - Jonas Alther, Jr.; Fire Chief - Steve Bailey; 1st Ass’t Fire Chief - Bruce Critzer, 2nd Ass’t Fire Chief - Charles Jenkins. Reelected Captain of Rescue Squad - Bruce Critzer. Elected to the Board of Directors for both units were Ennis Jenkins, Steve Bailey, Bruce Critzer, Mrs. Bertha Armel and Ronald Hawkins.
