Panther Tales

The most exciting news around RCHS this week is the success of our Panthers against the Strasburg Rams Friday night. After a forty game losing streak the Panthers beat the Rams 42 to 40. The game, a close one all the way, was tied 40 to 40 when the final four seconds showed on the clock. Lawrence Turner carried the ball to half court and swooshed the ball for the winning two points. There is no way to describe the excitement felt by every Panther fan. In an instant everyone was out of the stands hugging and kissing the players and everyone else. Anyone who missed that game will never know or see again the joy felt. Much appreciation goes to the 89 students who went over on buses plus other students and fans who filled the Strasburg bleachers. The spirit and cheers of the group moved the team and junpressed our hosts, the Rams. The most and final thanks goes to the team and Mr. Ellis who put forth their best efforts to win the game for us.
Monday RCHS played host to the 45th Army Engineer Band from Fort Belvoir. The Band played several selections including Christmas music and popular music. The students, especially the girls, enjoyed the good music and the good looking
