Mr. Utz, 59, was injured in a fall at the home of his son in Altavista about a week ago. He was taken to a Lynchburg Hospital where he died Sunday, May 21, 1972.

He was the son of the late Waymon L. and Katherine Jenkins Utz of Etlan.

Surviving are his wife Mrs. Kathleen Tindall Utz of Culpeper; a son William Henry Utz of Altavista and two grandchildren; also three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Lillard of Washington, and Mrs. Roy Lillard and Mrs. John P. Lillard of Etlan; a brother, Levi Lewis Utz of Syria.

He worked with the Virginia Department of Highways for 30 years and was employed as foreman. C
