A tractor will upset backwards if its center of gravity falls back of the supporting base. About a third of the tractor’s weight is on the front wheels with the other two thirds on the rear wheels. As more weight is added through wheel weights and rear tire fluids, the center of gravity is placed further back, thereby intensifying the chances for a back flip. The more weight behind the tractor, the greater is the chance of a back flip using the rear wheels as a fulcrum.
