Each year, the employes of Virginia Telephone and Telegraph Company are honored for outstanding safety records. Local Manager Larry Hepner of Front Royal says the company presented 30 employes awards for their safety records during 1971. Thirty employes amassed a total of 335 safe working years.
The employes were presented these awards in the form of gold, silver and white certificates. The presentation of the award was made according to employes number of accidentfree years; the gold certificate represents ten or more accident-free years; Silver Certificate represents five through nine years; and White Certificate less than five years.
