ANNUAL MEETING

Rappahannock County Farm Bureau will hold its annual membership meeting on Tuesday, October 24. The group will convene at 7:30 p.m. at the courthouse in Washington, Va. □

Tax notice

All 1972 tax bills for Rappahannock have been sent out by mail, according to county treasurer Robert L. Brown. Land owners and residents should receive their bills within a ten day period and if you do not get yours, Mr. Brown asks that you contact him by mail or phone area code (703) 675-3334.

Taxes are due to be paid by December 5, and after that time a penalty will be added. Beginning October 28, the treasurer’s office at Washington, Va. will be open each Saturday until the deadline from 8:30a.m. until 11 a.m. in addition to the regular weekday hours.
