inere have been times when someone will call to say that his neighbor doesn’t have his dog tagged. Nearly every time when I check, the neighbor does have his tag. Sometime ago a party called saying that dogs in his neighborhood were running around untagged, barking, and disturbing his sleep. I checked every house, 10 or 12 of them, and found that every dog owner had bought his tags. One fellow says -that there are 50 dogs in his community without tags. I am in the process of checking this out.
On several occasions I have gone on calls where livestock had been killed and the owners had said to me.that they did not believe dogs had done it, but after learning that the County did not pay bear claims, they changed their minds. There is definitely a difference in the way a dog and a bear attack and handle livestock. , I hate to write this letter,
