A number of streams in the state will be restocked with trout during the period October 24-28. Streams to be stocked in Madison and Rappahannock Counties are the Hughes and North Fork of the Thornton.
In order to find out exact day and time of stocking in other counties contact the local game warden of the county in which you are interested in fishing. Some 37 streams in 36 Counties will be stocked with 45,000 trout.
The archery season for deer, bear and squirrel is now open. This special season extends through November 15. During this special season deer of either sex may be taken. One a day and two per year may be taken in Rappahannock.
Deer and bear must be checked and included in the total allowed for the year. One bear, not less than 100 pounds, per year and six squirrels per day may be taken.
The early season on squirrels is over for gun hunters. Coon and bobcat season is open. □
