Mrs. Pearl Mills of Huhtly called on her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel North Sunday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Burnie Burnette and children of Annandale and his brother, Paul of Richmond visited Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Gilkey III Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Atkins and children of Roanoke arrived Wednesday, called by the illness of his father, Bennie Atkins. Roger returned to Roanoke Sunday and his wife and children remained as guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James R. Jones in Markham.

Mrs. Thomas 0. Williams entertained with a surprise birthday party at the fire hall Sunday afternoon in honor of her 8-year old son, Tim. The guests included 47 children and 7 adults.
