The Rappahannock Cross Country team has really been working lately, and efforts are paying off. The locals met RMA Saturday in Front Royal and solidly cleaned up. The Panthers had a perfect score of 15 to RMA’s 43.

Charlie Thomas set a new course record of 13:20 which topped the old record by 31 seconds. Charles, Bill Taylor, John Summers, Tom Taylor and Jerry Thomas took the first five places, respectively while Ronnie Nicholson was seventh and Bobby Titchenell placed eighth.

Andy Nichols came in tenth and Moose Donaldson placed twelfth. This was the first perfect score for the Panthers which was soon succeeded by another. They trampled Montevideo Tuesday with a 15-42 score.

Charlie was the star of the show again Tuesday as he took an early lead in the first lap. Bill was second with Johft, Tom and Ronnie in the next three places to make a perfect
