Hunters have until October 27 to apply for water fowl hunt sports on four Virginia Game Commission areas in Eastern Virginia, reports Supervising Game Biologist Charles Gilchrist.
New on the list of regulated waterfowl huntingareas this year is Hog Island Refuge in Surry County. This area will be hunted on Mondays and Thursdays only to help disburse some of the concentrated waterfowl and improve hunting throughout the local area.
