The sacrament of Holy Baptism was held last Sunday at Trinity Episcopal Church for Lewis Duncan Snead, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rayner V. Snead Jr. of Lynchburg. The rector, the Rev. William M. Hargett, - officiated.
Acting as godparents were Dr. and Mrs. John Peyton Snead of Rixeyville; Mr. and Mrs. Eric Adamson of Charlottesville and Duane Dillard of Greencastle, Pa.
Lewis Duncan is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lee Smith of Spring House Farm and Judge and Mrs. Rayner V. Snead of Fairlea, all of Washington.
Judge and Mrs. Snead entertained at dinner following the ceremony. □

Lawrence Ricker, a student at Steed College in Johnson City, Tenn. is continuing his education through the fall quarter which began September 10.
He is an active member of Phi Theta Phi Fraternity which is an International Honorary Commerce Fraternity. □
