Many of the questions and statements from the audience reflected a familiar concern of rural landowners when confronted with zoning and subdivision controls—of whether this would interfere with their right to give portions of their holdings to their children.
But spme of the sharpest criticism was leveled against the scarcity of copies of the proposed ordinances for public study. Very few copies were prepared, and members of the public were confined to studying copies at the Clerk of Court’s office. Supervisor Pete Luke said it had cost him better than $18 a copy to have copies reproduced.
