Edward Pawley interrupted to ask how many copies of the ordinances had been made available to the public. When told copies were only available to be read in the Clerk’s office, Pawley thought that “there should have been sufficient copies for everyone. Copies should have been available for study at leisure.” he warned of “fine lawyer print,” and proposed that the commission take steps to make more copies available.
Newbill Miller said the procedure followed “was not designed to keep people from knowing what is going on,” adding that “the planning commission has always met in open session.” Miller went on:
