Sidney Platt is a native of Ontario who is now a United States citizen; he is a veteran of the Korean War.

He has been with the National Geographic documentary television division for the past ten years, and has worked on such projects as wildlife films, underwater films with Jacques Costeau and with noted African anthropologist African anthropologist Louis Leakey.

OTHER films have been produced by Platt on his own, including “Lisa, Pay Attention,” an educational film for classroom teachers of children with speech impairments, and “Judging From Language,” showing problems of people who don’t speak normal, standard English.

He was employed for awhile by North German Television, and as a freelance film maker spent some time in Mexico.□
