Two bams owned by Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Johnson Jr. went up in flames in less than a week's time. At top, Harry Singleton, a friend, looks over the remains of the first barn that burned near Sperryville early in the morning of August 31. The second barn, below, burned to the ground the evening of September 5 in Old Hollow. State arson inspectors from Culpeper are investigation, and Johnson has offered a reward of $1,000 for information leading to the person or persons who set the fires. Arson is suspected in both cases.
