THE 1973 dove season will open statewide at noon on Saturday, September 15. This date is a little later than the opening of the past several years and will afford the farmers more time to get some corn cut. The long range forecast is for cool weather through this week which is more like hunting weather.
Shooting hours for doves will be from noon each day intil official sunset. Saturday, September 15 sunset will be 7:20 Eastern Daylight Time in the local area.
The bag limit is 12 doves per day. No person may possess over the daily limit of any wild bird or animal while in the forest, fields or waters of this state.
