The School Board officially accepted the resignation of Carter Ellis, high school instructor and basketball coach, and officially accepted Preston Lee Douglas to succeed Mr. Ellis.
A detailed explanation of the vocational education program as outlined by the State Board of Education and funding was given by Robert Leonard, Director of Instruction. Rappahannock participates in vocational studies at the Piedmont Vocational School in Culpeper County, in addition to trade classes and home' economics classes held at the local, school. Funding these courses amounts to approximately $60,000, and about half of this cost is for the Piedmont classes.
