THE PROBLEM of Overflowing trash, at collection points continued to concern the Supervisors. The problem has surfaced repeatedly, ever since, stale law forced Rappahannock to abandon the old county dump. Rappahannock County has a contract with Coipmunity TraSh of Culpeper Inc. to pick up the trash at die bins, or dumpsters, and dispose of it. . / ,

Pete Luke reminded the Board that it had doubled the size of the county's contract with Community Trash of Culpeper, because of the extra time they put in to collect trash scattered around the dumpsters.. | i - •** %'u i |
“The problem is public abuse of the system,” Miller said. Pete Luke agreed, noting that few people failed to separate burnable items Or to flatten pasteboard boxes.
“During World War II people realized they had to do their part, they cut the boxes, laid them in flat,” Luke said. “They can do it now.”
“We’ve got to explain it so that people realize it will mean a tax increase unless they start cooperating, ’ ’ Miller said.
