scale—$30 for a kennel oi 20 dogs and $50 for _a kennel of 50 dogs. This way, kennel owners pay more than last year, but are allowed more dogs in a kennel than the Supervisors had decreed in December.
LATER IN the meeting, Commonwealth’s Attorney George Davis told the Supervisors that state law would not allow the Board to charge more than $15 for a kennel of 20 dogs and $25 for a kennel of 50 dogs, the same kennel rates as last year.
The Supervisors adopted the state scale. Herbert Foster said the county probably won’t lose much by having the lower fees, since there are only a few kennels in Rappahannock County.
