Piedmont landscape for so many years. The grass is simply cut, raked into windrows, and then run over by a combine after several days of drying out. The combine picks up the grass, extracts the seed and spits out the chaff, all in one operation. Mrs. DiZerega was planning on about 50 bushels of seed to an acre, or about 1,500 bushels all told.
