RAPPAHANNOCK has been , asked to kick in another $2,644 as the county’s share for Planning District 9 mental health services. The county has appropriated $2,000 this year for “Chapter 10” participation but Mrs. Frances Thornton, the county’s representative to the regional board, told the Supervisors at their July 3 meeting that that sum “won’t even meet our clinic charges.”
Last year, Mrs. Thornton said, the county mental health association raised $2,620 above the $1,500 appropriated by the county, “but this yeartheassociation is raised out, begged out.”
