CHESTER GAP Fire and Rescue organizations completed a successful benefit carnival last week ending Saturday night with the awarding of prizes. The weather was good and the mountain top always pleasant in the evenings, no matter how hot the climate during the days.
Leona Carrol of Front Royal was the recipient of the $400 cash given away and Margaret Bright of Sperryville received the $75. Henry Cameron of Chester Gap won the $25 and Robert Nethers of Flint Hill received a ham.
