CHAIRMAN Pete Luke, while assuring the Board that he’d been told by the appraisers “That everything is going real good,” also thought it might be appropriate to remind the assessors that “we appropriated an $8,000 lump sum for the job,, and that’s it.”
Luke said he knew of several instances where assessors have been working for a full day’s pay, even though they didn’t have a full day’s work to keep them busy. Tell them to stop it, the Supervisors suggested, and Luke agreed to pass along the word.C
