APPLICATIONS for hunts on Game Commission managed waterfowl areas must be received no later than 5 p.m. October 21, reports District Game Biologist Fax Settle. Blinds rent for $5 to $10 a day, but guide fees on the Pocahontas area have been raised to S30 per day.

Additionally, a deposit of $15, not refundable in case of cancellation, must be submitted with the Pocahontas applications. The remainder of this fee and fees for other areas are payable kt the area headquarters on the day of the hunt. Blinds accomodate two or three hunters, depending on the area. Applications are available from the Commission’s office or fromTrojan-Pocahontas headquarters on Back Bay.

On the Pocahontas area the $40 daily fee includes guide, boat, decoys and blind for up to three hunters. On the Barbours Hill and Hog Island areas a $10 fee includes blind, boat and decoys. Additionally, hunters on the Barbours Hill area are required to furnish their own four-wheel drive transportation.
