Marijuana in the

park prompts fines

At a hearing before U.S. Magistrate Isaac R. Dovel, Sr., on September 25, at Shenandoah National Park Headquarters, Luray, three persons were found quilty of the possession of marijuana and smoking paraphernalia within the boundaries of Shenandoah National Park.

James N. , and Barbara A. Psimas, of Annandale, and William D. Stroud, of Springfield, were fined $50 each for the violation of Federal regulations.

The case involved close cooperation between the Page County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Division and Park Rangers.□
