SUPERINTENDENT Robert' R. Jacobsen, Shenandoah National Park, has announced that the Dickey Ridge Visitor Center at Mile 4.6 on the Skyline Drive is now operating on a fall season schedule. The visitor facility is now open daily between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
On Sunday, November 10, it closes for the winter. The fall staff members are Sarah Reeb and Mark Johnson, with Barry Horner and Norm Hellmers as weekend alternates.
The Byrd Visitor Center at Big Meadows (Milepost 51) will remain open throughout the year on a daily basis from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.', weather permitting.
Evening programs will be presented each Tuesday through Saturday until November 9 at the Byrd Visitor Center Auditorium, beginning at 8 p.m. Staff members are Jim and Nancy Shives and Pat Elliott, with Harriett Bonanno and Ken Apschnikat as alternates.□
