Virginia where they own a 39acre piece of wooded mountain land. Last winter, with the aid of every friend they could beg, tempt or bribe, they erected a small oneroom unimproved cabin part way up the mountain. They can be found there most Saturdays and Sundays patching their leaking roof, digging out their some-time spring, chopping wood, and sighting birds through a telescope.
LINDA TURNER has been caning chairs and restoring antique furniture in Rappahannock for the last year. She and her professional photographer husband live on a small farm in the County. She learned the art of caning from her mother and is passing the skill on to her three children. In fact, the whole family canes.
