A NUMBER of Rappahannock County students have received promotions in the ranks of the cadet corps at Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal.
Jon and Paul Kuhn, the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Russel C. Kuhn of Washington, were both promoted to the rank of sergeant. Jon is an Academy senior while Paul is a junior at the college-preparatory school.

At a hearing before U.S. Magistrate I. Randolph Dovel, Sr., on October 24, at Shenandoah-National Park Headquarters, Robert L. Sholes and Delmar S. Lamb, Jr, both of Stanardsville, were found guilty of possession of firearms within the boundaries of Shenandoah National ' Park. Each was fined $150 and given a 60-day -suspended jail sentence. Lamb and Sholes were apprehended by Park Rangers near Crescent Rock Overlook on October 19, 1974.LI
