THREE early morning traffic accidents were investigated November 7 by Trooper W. A. Buntin. Two were single vehicle crashes and the other involved two.
At 4 a.m. a half mile south of Flint Hill on Route 522, Gid Ross Fincham of Culpeper driving a ’66 Chevrolet pickup apparently swerved to avoid striking a deer and crashed through a fence.
According to the officer, Fincham ran off the left of the road, lost control, veered back across the highway and into a fence belonging to D. M. Eastham. Damage to the truck was estimated at $600 and at $100 to the fence. Fincham was cited for reckless driving.
On Route 211 a half mile west of Sperryville at 6:30 that morning Joann Buracker of Sperryville driving a ‘73 Plymouth apparently had a blowout on her right front tire, ran off the road and struck the bank. No charges were made and damage was set at $1000.
AN HOUR later four miles east of Sperryville on Route 621 a driver was cited for reckless driving after a collision. Involved were Ralph Wayne Brown driving a ‘74 Ford pickup and Brenda P. Anderson in a ‘63 Buick. Both are of Woodville.
