THE general hunting season for turkey, quail, grouse, rabbit and squirrel opened this past Monday. Woodcock season is also now in. The deer season for Rappahannock County opens Monday the 18th. As last year, the bag limit for deer in Rappahannock will be two per license year with an antlerless deer allowed on the last day, January 4, 1975.
The bear season has a major change this year. Bear season opens on November 25, one week after deer season. The bag limit - is still one per year, 100 pounds or over live weight. The special achery season for deer, bear, and squirrel ended last Saturday.
