Luke said that another suggestion that had been made for county office space involved “Bob Bridges’s store”—-the old grocery store space across from the court house-4>ut “that has a sewer problem; the septic system just doesn’t work at all and there’s nowhere to expand. ”
Added Pete Luke: “The condition of the store is why some people in town are looking in the possibilities of a sewer system.”
The office space feasibility study is to be reported on at next month’s meeting of the Supervisors. The old school was gutted of petitions and other, interior fixtures in the course of a recent aborted “remodeling” program by a previous owner. Carrigan acquired the building at a public outcry held recently.□
