Rappahannock Forest Warden Clifton Jenkins measures a tree which has been marked for harvesting. A chest-high yellow mark tells which trees are to be cut and another yellow mark at the base of the tree, assures the owner the proper trees have been harvested. The wardens cruise the timber and indicate which trees are mature and which should be felled.
