recently in Roanoke drew some 2.000 delegates and an additional 5.000 teachers attended more than 70 training meetings led by state and national authorities and visited the 150 education related exhibits in Roanoke’s civic center.

Three Rappahannock teachers— Mrs. Lynne Baines, Richard Helmer and L.M. Carter, assistant principal at the local elementary school—attended the convention which was held October 31 and November 1.
