Rappahannock Ski Area owners were seeking permission for the camper trailer park on behalf of potential purchasers of the property. Zoning Administrator Evan McNear, currently one of the owners of the ski area, had said last week that the sale of the ski area depends upon obtaining permission for the “recreational vehicle park.”
Donald Weil of Front Royal, one of the group which has been negotiating for purchase of the ski area, was present at the hearing. He said they would only allow “recreational vehicles” in the off season, not during skiing periods. It would not be a public camper trailer park; it could only be used by members, perhaps as many as 1,500, who would pay for a share
