SUPERINTENDENT Robert R. Jacobsen has announced that Philip B. Hastings of Mammoth Cave National Park, Ky. will be transferred to the position of Assistant Chief Interpreter at Shenandoah National Park effective June 22.
Born in North Carolina, Hastings received his early schooling in Southwest Virginia, and received his B. A. degree from Emory University, where he majored in English and took Biology and Physical Geography as minor sub— jects. He received his Master’s degree from the National Park Sevice School of Environmental Education and Administration, in connection with the George Williams College of Michigan.
