Carnival
Chester Gap firemen opened their annual carnival Wednesday night and it will continue through Saturday with the awarding of prizes climaxing the event. Exciting games, rides, food and prizes will be in evidence.
A carnival queen will be crowned Friday evening by J. Kenneth Robinson, Seventh District Congressman, who will be present to talk with the people of the area. Saturday evening an honorary fire chief will be named and prizes will be awarded. Grand prize is $300 with $75 as second prize and $25 as third.
The volunteers invite the attendance of everyone and will accept and appreciate any assistance with the stands, booths, etc.□
