THE Rappahannock 4-H Light Horse and Pony Club Show held at Old Mill Stables in Sperryville on Saturday, July 12 was well attended despite the threat of rain during the entire show. Winners of the class on Grooming and Conditioning (large and small pony) were “Starlight” with Liz Sagalyn, second, Marion Eastham on “Tom Thumb” and third, Nina Metzinger on “Trixie.” Class 2-Grooming and Conditioning Horses—1st place went to Susan Gallihugh on “Court Jester,” 2nd-to Brad Updike on “Sandy” and third Beverly Robson on “Parfait”.
Lead line winners, 1st, Kelly Smithgall on “Starlight,” 2nd, Peggy Kozik and third, Kirk Smithgall on “Neige.”
English pleasure—1st, Maureen MacGrath on “Caspar,” second, Ann Thomas on “King Edward” and third, Marian Eastham on “Black Sand.”
Western Pleasure—first place, Beverly Robson on “Parfait,” second, Brad Updike on “Sandy.”
