Farm Craft Days
LAST PREPARATIONS ARE proceeding well at historic Belle Grove where craftsmen, folk artists, farmers, musicians and numerous other people concerned with the cultural heritage of the Shenandoah Valley will present the seventh annual Farm Craft Days.
The 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily program on Saturday, July 10. and Sunday, July 20, sponsored by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. will offer something for everyone—demonstrations of almost 50 vanishing folk skills such as dulcimer making, theorem painting. Windsor chair making, plenty of country music, buggy rides and haystack games for children, farm market and country kitchen to shop in. and much more. Highlights will be the participation of the reactivated Morgan's Riflemen of 1775 and a continuous program of rural music from rarely heard spirituals to catching folk tunes.
Admission for everything, including a stroll through the Valley's prominent plantation home built after the Revolution, is Si for adults. 75 cents for young people from 6 to 18. and free for youngsters under 6.
