A SERIES of 52 instructional and informational meetings for certified mechanics participating in the State Motor Vehicle Inspection Program has been scheduled from September 1-29 at 45 locations throughout the State, according to Colonel H.W. Burgess, Superintendent of State Police, whose Department administers the Inspection Program.
This is an annual program and it is compulsory that all certified mechanics attend at least one session, Colonel Burgess said. Anyone interested in motor vehicle repair and maintenance is invited to attend. All meetings open at 8 p.m. and run from one to two hours. The meetings are conducted by uniformed members of the State Police who discuss problems that have arisen as well as ' explain new regulations and procedure changes. In turn, mechanics and others may ask questions and present their own problems.
Tuesday, September 7, the meeting will be held in Warrenton at the junior high school. In Culpeper, the meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 16, at the high school.□
