Sunday vespers
The D.C. Youth Chorale will return on its annual visit to Luray for Sunset Vespers at the Luray Singing Tower Sunday, August 8, at 8 p.m., following a carillon recital by Charles Chapman at 7:30. In case of rain the Youth Chorale will present its program, immediately following the carillon recital, at Main Street Baptist Church in Luray.
The Youth Chorale is the official city-wide chorus of the District of Columbia Public Schools, with students drawn from grades 9 through 12.
Edward Jackson, director of the Chorale since 1966, is a graduate of Howard University College of Fine Arts.D
