A service of Ordination and Consecration will be held at the Promise Land Baptist Church, Washington, Sunday, August 8, at 3 p.m. Charles Roy will be ordained as deacon. Ora Roy, Bessie Grigsby and Lillian Aylor will be consecrated as deaconesses. The Rev. U. S. Brokenburr, Pastor of Hopewell and Shiloh Baptist Churches, will be the speaker.
August 22, at 3 p.m. the Rev. John Pendleton will be installed as pastor at Promise Land Baptist Church. The Installation Sermon will be delivered by the Rev. James A. Price, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, Flint Hill. Everyone is invited to these services.
