Chess tourney
The Rappahannock - Culpeper Chess Club, the Virginia Chess Federation, and other area chess clubs will hold their monthly rated chess tournament on Sunday, August 8 beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Mimslyn Motor Inn, 401 W. Main St., Luray.
The public is invited to participate or observe. Players should bring their own sets and boards. There will be sections for both novice and advanced players. Trophies, ratings, and other prizes will be awarded.
