COMPLAINTS on roaming dogs packs, rowdy party-ers at the Community Center and the poor conditions of county secondary roads dominated last Thursday’s meeting of the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors. Solutions to any of the problems don’t appear to lie in the immediate future.
“I’m a dog lover,” stated Mary Beth Martin, adding that she had a dog of her own. “I just don’t like other people’s dogs coming on my property, especially in groups. I like to be able to let my child out in the yard without worrying about dogs.”
“What’s so different about dogs and other animals?” she asked, noting that she had to keep her goats and horses up. “I can’t let them run loose. There’s something about dogs,” she added. Complaining about them “is like insulting your family.”
