THE Rappahannock Lions Club is undertaking a collection of supplies? and money as part of a statewide project to assist southwest Virginia residents whose homes and lives were devastated by recent flooding. To start the drive being conducted throughout the state, the Virginia Lions Foundation has made, a $5,000 cash contribution.
Clean, usable clothing, canned food, cleaning supplies, charcoal and lanterns are among items needed. Monetary contributions - are also welcome. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Virginia Lions Flood Relief and forwarded to Lions Club President Bill Racer, P. O. Box 121, Washington, Va. 22747, or turned in at any of the collection points.
To help make it easy for Rappahannock residents to take part in relieving the emergency situation in southwest Virginia, the ijWlowing Lions Club members are serving as area coordinators and have established the following collection points:
Washington—The Rev. Jennings Hobson at Trinity Episcopal Church. (Please leave items in the, vestibule.)
Flint Hill—Paul Nichols at his residence.
Amissville—Captain Luther B. Stuart at his residence.
Castleton—Howard W. Holschuh at his residence on Route 626, just south of the Thornton River Bridge.
Woodville—Raymond Johnson at Weldon R. Burke’s store
