4. The Project will not result in any groundwater contamination due to contraction;
5. There will be no groundwater depletion or wetland degradation resulting from the Project, nor will there be any Stream flow depletion;
6. There will be several effects such as increased employment and reduction in contaminated water supplies;
7. There will be minor land erosion, noise, odor, dust, and sediment resulting from the construction operation; however, these negative effects are more than outweighed by the positive effects;
8. There will be no irreversible and irretrievable commitment of natural resources;
9. The proposed Project will help eliminate existing health hazards in the Sperryville Community.
Rappahannock County has made an Environmental Review Record concerning the Sperryville Sewage Works Project. This record is on file and available for review in the office of the Rappahannock County Engineer, Washington, Virginia.
Notice is hereby given that no further Environmental Review of the Sperryville Sewage Works Project is proposed to be conducted, and that the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors intends to request from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development a release of funds to assist in the design and construction of the Project, after 15 days from the publication of this Notice.
Interested parties are advised that comments may be submitted to the County Engineer for a period of not more than 15 days from the date of this publication. Comments must be submitted in writing to be considered.
If there are no comments of adverse effects on the environment received within 15 days of this Notice, the County will publish a Notice of Intent to request the release of funds for the Project.
